"In many shamanic societies, if you came to a shaman or medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions. When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?" – Gabrielle Roth

When relocating to Australia on a family posting, she performed and created with Quantum Leap Youth Dance Ensemble and completed a dance BA at the University of Melbourne (2011). During her studies, she began teaching workshops to disadvantaged people in her local community centre. Upon returning to Israel, Moriya received a Dance Excellence Award from the Ministry of Education Culture and Sports. In 2013, she placed 3rd in the Australian Choreographic Competition with her work ‘Realitive’ created for Menagerie Dance LTD. “The power of art is not under the spotlight but in empowering communities, bridging social gaps and leading a quiet change in society. We are privileged to be free to play, sing and dance without bounds - it is a privilege again to pass it on.”
